What’s in a name
I heard the other day that the incidence of ‘flu is fifty in a hundred thousand. I don’t know why, but it annoys me when people say they have the ‘flu when in fact what they have is a bad virus. Mum says in the old days they used to call those viruses the ‘agu’ (sic). I’m gonna call them that from now on.
Why don’t they just say it’s one in two thousand? – Cos after all, all I want to know is how likely am I to get it. Do I care about the other forty nine?
You Susan are a bad uncaring person.
