Job Description: Web Support Technician

Bird is searching for an experienced Web Support Technician to join our team. We are an award-winning digital agency providing results-driven online marketing, technical, and creative services to a broad range of clients, including local SMEs and global brands such as Huawei, St James’s Place, and First Data.

Experience: Website Support 2 years (required)

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Daily Responsibilities

The Web Support Technician will work as part of our industry-leading team and will contribute to the delivery of a variety of projects. From day one, you will be involved in maintaining and improving our clients’ websites. You will be liaising with clients and collaborating with colleagues to achieve the best project outcomes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Fixing and debugging existing websites
  • Working with the following technologies:
    • WordPress
    • Magento
    • cPanel / WHM
    • Apache and Linux
    • Freshdesk
  • Promptly responding to incoming support tickets and requests
  • Installing and configuring plugins
  • Implementing custom design changes
  • Performing administrative tasks such as:
    • Adding and editing products on e-commerce stores
    • Updating and managing website content
    • Setting up and managing emails and domains

Your Experience

We want to hire an experienced individual with a good working knowledge of web support best practices and the desire to take the next step in their career. In order to perform in this role, it is vital that you have:

  • Proven experience with WordPress and Magento platforms
  • Strong understanding of cPanel / WHM, Apache, and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with Freshdesk or similar ticketing systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Experience with installing and configuring plugins
  • Competence in making custom design changes
  • Strong administrative skills, particularly in managing e-commerce products and website content
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
